After the Christmas holidays and the bad winter weather here in the Netherlands, another working visit to Dubai was planned. This trip should actually have taken place earlier, but we waited for a number of saddles that were on order for customers to be ready so that we could send them first and Bart could then go after them to see them on the horses. An extra check to see if everything is as desired and fits properly.
We left on Saturday afternoon, so the arrival was late in the evening and after a good night's sleep we left early the next morning for 9 Valley's Stables.
Since the visit last year, a new stable has been built and it has become very beautiful. A number of saddles were checked there and adjusted on the spot.
In the afternoon on to Al Ain Equestrian club where the Al Shiraáa Horse show 2024 takes place and a 4* competition was held. Met several riders and customers there and enjoyed a great competition.
On Monday morning we went to the quarantine stable to measure a horse, that recently arrived there, for a new saddle. The saddle will be ordered according to the measured dimensions and sent to Dubai after production. Then Bart went to another stable nearby to carry out saddle checks. And after that to the Dubai polo club to meet customers. In the afternoon to Sharjah to check and measure more horses and in the evening back to 9 Valley's where we saw the last 2 horses for the day. So this was a very full day.
We also filled up Tuesday and Wednesday with saddle checks and measurements. And then it was Thursday afternoon, time to go to the airport. After having visited 2 more addresses, those customers heard about my visit at the very last minute, the return journey began.
This was a very full and program with existing customers and also new contacts. Maybe back again before the summer, but otherwise only in the autumn as it is no longer pleasant to travel to Dubai after March due to the extreme heat.
