Prequalm is a paste complementary feed conceived to maintain horses’ physiological serenity during competitions.
When to use Prequalm
Prequalm is the perfect complementary feed for those wishing to maintain their horses’ physiological serenity during competitions. It can help keep horses focus during competitions. Prequalm is perfect for young horses, for they often are particularly nervous and anxious during competitions.
Properties of its constituents
Prequalm contains L-tryptophan, an amino acid that transforms into serotonin inside the body. Serotonin is also known as “the good mood hormone”. L-tryptophan is also a precursor to melatonin, the substance that controls sleep and wake cycles, thus generating serenity. Tryptophan is an essential amino acid; therefore, the body cannot synthesize it independently: it can only be taken through diet and supplementation, just as it has been done in humans and, in particular, in children for several years (44).
Instructions for use
Use a whole Prequalm syringe 3 hours before a competition.
If your horse does not like transports and trips, use 1 Prequalm syringe 2 hours before departure.
Use a whole Prequalm syringe for ponies as well.
