Winter warm-up wash
During the winter months, you do not always have the opportunity to wash your horse when it is dirty from mud or sweat. Not everyone has an indoor washing place with hot water.
NAF has found a good solution for this. In the care line you will find 2 very fine products for this, namely the Warming wash and the Muck off stain remover.
The Warming Wash is a product based on Ginger and Muscat sage and you put a dash of it in a bucket of warm water. You can use this product to rinse your horse after riding to remove sweat and mud. You can then rub the animal dry with a towel or remove the excess water with a sweat knife. It is not necessary to rinse out the product. Because of the ingredients used, it gives a wonderful warming effect on the skin and muscles. Another tip, it is also recommended to clean your dog after a long walk in a muddy forest!
The Muck off stain remover is ideal to use when your horse has dirty stains before riding or when you have to go to a competition and don't have the opportunity to wash. Spray directly on the dirty spots and rub in well with a brush. Let it soak for 5 minutes and then wipe clean with a cloth. This way you can clean your horse without having to use a water hose during the cold winter months.

If your horse is clean, the dark winter days might also be a good opportunity to give your saddle and bridle an extra thorough cleaning. For this, the Stubben products are highly recommended, which in my memory have been around forever. Stubben glycerine soap is available in a jar or squeeze bottle and is a good cleansing and conditioning soap for all types of leather. You can even use this soap daily with a damp sponge and it will keep your leather nice and soft. Once in a while you can extend your cleaning with Stubben Hamenol, this is a nourishing and caring cream in a handy tube. After using the soap, apply it sparingly to the leather with a cloth or sponge and let it soak in.
